We are looking for a senior researcher/ consultant Health Technology Assessment.

The senior researcher/ consultant Health Technology Assessment co-leads project teams, mentors junior staff, co-leads existing clients and supports the building of new business. Moreover, the senior researcher/ consultant Health Technology Assessment contributes to the design and execution of a portfolio of projects intended to address health economic and health policy questions using various methods including modelling, database analysis, expert-interviews, and/or evidence synthesis.

Day to Day activities include:

  • Co-leads project team of research staff to ensure overall scientific integrity, quality, and messaging in alignment with objectives/target audience and client satisfaction with deliverables;
  • Accountable for quality, timely delivery and financial performance of work packages/ projects; reviews estimated hours; supports project leads in identifying challenges and strategies to mitigate risk early on; communicates any risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership if necessary;
  • Supports business development. Provides input regarding scientific content, pricing, scoping, and timelines of proposals and subsequent projects;
  • Provides input regarding methods and follows best practices; develops, recommends or implements new and existing methods and guides junior researchers where necessary;
  • Gives project presentations to clients and participates in project discussions;
  • Identifies opportunities for new projects;
  • Perceived by clients as scientific expert/ consultant and mentors others to be the same;
  • Takes part of groups in ideation and dissemination of projects and proactively seeks out opportunities to build scientific reputation.

 Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience;
  • Master’s degree in a discipline related to health economics, health outcomes and health services research; health policy and management; epidemiology; biostatistics; public health, or other related discipline(s);
  • Profound knowledge of (early) Health technology Assessment of healthcare innovations;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch for both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Detail oriented with exceptional project and time management skills;
  • Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and software packages for data analysis (e.g. SPSS, NVivo).

Preferred:

  • PhD;
  • Work experience in the field of (early) Health Technology Assessment.

The director Health Technology Assessment leads project teams, mentors junior staff, leads existing clients and builds new business. Moreover, the director Health Technology Assessment oversees the design and execution of a portfolio of projects intended to address health economic and health policy questions using various methods including modelling, database analysis, expert-interviews, and/or evidence synthesis.

• Leads project team of research staff to ensure overall scientific integrity, quality, and messaging in alignment with objectives/target audience and client satisfaction with deliverables;
• Accountable for quality, timely delivery and financial performance of a portfolio of projects; reviews estimated hours and contributes to strategy and budget planning across projects; supports project leads in identifying challenges and strategies to mitigate risk early on; communicates any risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership if necessary;
• Responsible for business development. Takes ownership for final scientific content, pricing, scoping, and timelines of proposals and subsequent projects;
• Provides strategic guidance regarding methods and ensures best practices are followed by group; develops, recommends or implements new methods and guides the team where necessary;
• Communicates with clients across multiple projects to support junior/mid-level project leads, proactively seeking feedback, managing expectations and implementing strategies to resolve any client issues; leads strategic presentations and face-to-face presentations to clients;
• Manages client relationships, identifies opportunities for new projects and sells new business to existing and new clients;
• Perceived by clients as scientific partner and mentors others to be the same;
• Leads group in ideation and dissemination of projects and proactively seeks out opportunities to build scientific reputation.

Qualifications
Minimum Required:
• +7 years of relevant experience;
• Master’s degree in a discipline related to health economics, health outcomes and health services research; health policy and management; epidemiology; biostatistics; public health, or other related discipline(s);
• Profound knowledge of the healthcare innovation ecosystem from an international perspective;
• Profound knowledge of (early) Health Technology Assessment of numerous healthcare innovations;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch for both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills;
• Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and software packages for data analysis (e.g. SPSS, NVivo).

Preferred:
• PhD;
• Innovative, out of the box problem solver;
• Leadership experience within a small/medium sized healthcare consulting organization.
