Following an earlier involvement with the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA), Panaxea is now a partner for the 2016-2018 period.
EIP on AHA
EIP on AHA is a policy initiative that aims to share and scale up innovative solutions to improve active and healthy ageing in order to address the challenges of demographic change in Europe. The objectives of the Partnership are to increase the health and quality of life of European citizens, to improve the sustainability of health and care systems, and to contribute to more economic growth in Europe.
MAFEIP
The previous involvement of Panaxea in the EIP on AHA initiative was the “Monitoring and Assessment Framework for the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing” (MAFEIP) project. Panaxea worked together with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) on the development of the MAFEIP tool. The goals of this tool were to, first, accumulate evidence on the impact of the activities carried out within the Partnership in terms of quality-adjusted life expectancy and health and care resource use within and across its six thematic Action Groups; and second, to provide decision relevant outcomes that are of value to developers, investors and implementers of innovation in the Active and Healthy Ageing arena across Europe. Panaxea showed their strenghts during this project: expertise in health economics and health economic modeling which resulted in the advanced MAFEIP tool. The tool was promoted at the poster presentation of ISPOR 2015. The poster can be found here.
Action groups
The new partnership in EIP on AHA provides the opportunity for Panaxea to offer ongoing support to all stakeholders involved in the development, implementation and/or evaluation of interventions aimed at improving the adherence to medical plans.
in order to innovations to succeed. The action groups are assembly of partners committing to work on specific issues related to ageing, by sharing the knowledge and expertise with their peers, giving added-value to their national and local experience and identifying gaps that need to be fulfilled at European level. The action groups are divided into different six different focus areas, Panaxea will be involved in the following four:
The action groups will start in September.
